Available Sizes

The Magicast splint does not come in rolls, but in kits, with each kit intended containing all that is required for using the splint on one medical case. No extra padding is required.

Below is a table listing the different sizes available for the product. This information will clarify the table for you:

The kits come in several sizes.

The width of the splint is given in inches, and its length in centimeters.

Available lengths are 2”, 3”, 4”, and 5”.

Each width has 2-3 available length sizes.

The desired width can be determined by measuring the circumference of the patient’s arm/leg in the widest spot the splint will cover. For example, a “boot” cast requires measuring the leg around the thickest part of the calf muscle, below the knee.

Having done that, you can see the minimum and maximum circumference for each width size of the splint.

For instance: a calf muscle circumference of 22 cm matches 2 Magicast sizes: the 2” and the 3”. In cases like this, select the size that seems correct for the patient, depending on whether you wish to cover more than half the leg or less. The decision is up to the specialist applying the splint.

Once you try out the product on several patients, you will be able to select the correct size without taking any measurements at all.
